Role at The Chef's Academy

Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Chef Sherry Stolfo grew up in a bakery business that her parents still operate, and she remembers from an early age feeding the Challah dough through the dough sheeter and peeling Petit Fours. Chef Stolfo earned her associate's degree in baking and pastry arts and her bachelor's degree in food service management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. At the tender age of 23, she opened her first satellite Pastry Shoppe in a downtown department store, carrying on the family tradition while creating her own special niche in wedding cakes.

Ambitious and ready to take on new challenges, Chef Stolfo furthered her education by obtaining a master's degree in organization and management from Capella University in Minneapolis. After that, she held positions at North Ridge Country Club, Irregardless Café and Nelson's (now Foster's) in Cameron Village before accepting her current position as pastry instructor at The Chef's Academy.
