The Chef’s Academy at Harrison College is the culinary division of Harrison College. Harrison is recognized as accredited by the U.S. Department of Education pursuant to the terms of a Provisional Program Participation Agreement between the Harrison and the U.S. Department of Education dated December 22, 2016. The Chef’s Academy is endorsed and accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation (ACFEF).

On December 22, 2016, Harrison signed a Provisional Program Participation Agreement (“PPPA”) with the U.S. Department of Education, which allows Harrison to maintain their accredited status and continue to participate in Title IV programs until June 12, 2018. According to the Department of Education, by signing this PPPA “the Secretary deems the institution to hold recognized accreditation” until June 12, 2018 “notwithstanding the loss of recognition of its accrediting agency.”
Harrison College has applied for accreditation with a national accreditor. On January 19, 2017 we received notice that Harrison College met initial eligibility requirements and that our application was in-process. The national accreditor will be visiting Harrison College campuses in April and May 2017; following these visits, Harrison College will be considered for full accreditation at their Board Meeting scheduled for July 19-21, 2017.
