We offer a variety of ways to get involved at your local campus to form connections with your peers, gain teamwork and leadership skills and build your résumé. At The Chef’s Academy at Harrison College, you can find several opportunities to immerse yourself in student life, including acting as a liaison between students and faculty or becoming a peer tutor. No matter what your interests, we have an extracurricular for you.
Below, you can find student activities available at both of our Indianapolis and Raleigh locations. If you find an organization that interests you, or if you want to learn more about active clubs at your local campus, send us a message.
The mission of the Student Advisory Board is to represent your interests and perspectives at The Chef’s Academy. The Board strives to create a sense of community within the school by connecting with faculty, staff and students to better understand their concerns and ideas, as well as presenting events and fundraisers on each campus. The Board is committed to promoting and enhancing the reputation of The Chef’s Academy through professionalism, respect and dignity.
Student Advisory Board Goals:
If you are ready to put your culinary skills to the test, we invite you to join our team of students competing in the American Culinary Federation (ACF) student competition. Each year, students prepare to compete at the local level with the chance to advance to the regional conference and possibly the right to contend for the national title during AFC’s National Convention.
As a student, you understand that course work can be challenging and may often require studying outside of the classroom and kitchen. At The Chef’s Academy, we are committed to providing you with the resources you need to achieve academic success, including tutoring services offered by fellow students. If you are confident in your expertise and want to use your knowledge to help your peers excel, we welcome you to sign up for peer-to-peer tutoring at the front desk of your local campus.
