Do You Belong Here? That's up to You, Really

Being a chef or hospitality professional isn't about achievement or a title or a status symbol. It's something inside you. Who you are. It's about having respect for your craft, your industry, and yourself. About accepting the responsibility of transporting someone, if only for a little while, to a better place. A chef is an artist. A craftsman. And, yes, sometimes a little arrogant. Because executive chefs are a little like the captain of a ship. You may not agree with their way, but as long as you're in their kitchen, that's the way you will do it. 

Here's the irony. Despite the name of our academy, we can't make you a chef. True, we can teach you the skills and hand you the degree, but only you can make you a chef. Perhaps you already are one. Perhaps, you belong here with people who feel the same way.
